In preparation of many concerts it is a delight, a challenge and a downright nightmare to practice and work at the much feared cadenza for Paganini’s first violin concerto by mr Sauret! over 5 minutes of the most incredible technical trapeze-work of what is considered to be next to the impossible on four strings and only four fingers…. but it is so well written and such a great exercise!
